Post by movylab »

Greetings,

Movylab is a gait and motion laboratory in Colombia. We are pursuing to have a CMLA. As we are a new company, we would like to know:
What is the minimum years of experience or creation that the company need to have to apply?

Thank you,

Greetings,
There are no minimum years of experience required to submit an application or attain accreditation. However, you do need to comply with all requirements described on the website related to the 3 parts of the CMLA application, even if you are not applying from within the United States. Please see the "Application Portal" tab at the far right side of the main CMLAinc.org page for a copy of the application questions and the criteria by which they are assessed. Briefly, Part 1 requires you to describe the purpose of your lab, and the experience of the staff, as well as detailed documentation of your policies and procedures that you use for training and maintaining competency of your staff. Part 2 is where you describe your equipment, including how you assure accuracy and precision of your measurements used to make clinical decisions. Part 3 provides additional information on your data analysis and data reporting procedures, including submitting a complete clinical report (de-identified) for review by the panel, and your procedure for collecting normal data to compare your recordings to. If you have all of these aspects critical to movement analysis covered, you are welcome to submit.

Best regards and we hope to hear from you.

Please post here if you have any more questions. Additionally, if you intend to submit an application, I would encourage you to register with the site. That will create a forum specifically for your lab, and we can have private communication about your specific situation. I'd encourage you to register with the site if you intend to submit an accreditation application within the next 2 years.

Best regards,
