Kristan Pierz, MD, FAAOS

Kristan Pierz, MD, FAAOS received her undergraduate degree from Yale University and medical degree from the University of Connecticut before completing her orthopaedic surgery residency at UCONN and her pediatric orthopaedic fellowship at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She returned to Connecticut and joined the Department of Orthopaedics at Connecticut Children’s in 2001 where she has served as Medical Director for the Center for Motion Analysis since 2012. She is an Associate Professor of Orthopaedics at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and serves as a Residency Site Director. She is an active member of the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America, the Gait and Clinical Movement Analysis Society, the American Academy for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine, and the American Academy of Orthpaedic Surgeons. Her areas of interest include gait and movement disorders, limb deformity, cerebral palsy, Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, and clubfoot, and she enjoys writing and teaching courses focusing on the use of motion analysis for surgical decision making and assessing clinical outcomes.
